Darren ClewsNZRP, PGCert (Trad. Chinese Med), BHSc (Physio)
Darren graduated from AUT in 1997 with a Bachelor of Health Studies (Physiotherapy). He has a post graduate certificate in Chinese acupuncture and has completed all of the New Zealand Manipulative Therapists Association courses for the upper and lower quartile. Darren has been involved in sports Physiotherapy in a number of private practices since 1997. During a six year stint in the UK he worked in several outpatient clinics in public and private hospitals before settling with a company providing corporate health for some of the largest firms in the city. He has a special interest in myofascial pain syndromes and spinal rehabilitation to which he takes a hands-on approach. His passion is surfing which he has been doing for over twenty five years and has been lucky enough to travel to and surf in more countries than he can list here. He is a keen tramper/hiker and in 2001 finished the New York Marathon. His sporting background is in rugby, badminton and surf life saving. He has a broad base of experience which allows him to provide a holistic and thorough approach in the management of any individual, whatever the need may be. |
